The main character, Naofumi Iwatani, is an ordinary sophomore university student with otaku hobbies.
One day, when he opened a book about the four heroes in the library, he was summoned to another world as the Shield Hero. However, in addition to Naofumi, the Hero of the Sword, the Hero of the Spear, and the Hero of the Bow were also summoned to the other world.
